“MAINSTREAMING GENDER DIMENSIONS INTO WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT IN THE MEDITERRANEAN REGION”

Mainstreaming Gender Dimensions into Water Resources Development and Management in the Mediterranean Region is a regional project aimig at promoting the dialogue among the countries of the Region and establishing regional and national information networks and coordination structures to promote the adoption of gender sensitive policies and build a common knowledge base.

18 governemental and non gouvernemental organisations, from 14 Mediterranean countires, participate in the implementation of the project.

CAWTAR is implementing the project in Tunisia. This website, which is an outome of the project, contains information and data regarding documents, news and events in the common domain of gender and water resources management in Tunisia. The website aims are to promote the dialogue among stakeholders involved in the issues of gender and water management and to provide opportunities to exchange and dissiminate information between and among these stakeholders in Tunisia and in the Mediterranean region.
